Shadowkiller Wendy Corsi Staub Books

I so wanted to love this book but WOW this book is soooo slow ! I kid you not, the author just goes in circles talking about randomness up until about 60% of the book. I am never one to put a book down without finishing it, but I was so close to doing so with this book. I was wondering for a second if I had accidentally purchased a romance novel rather than a suspenseful mystery - seriously! Also, I was kind of bummed that this author seems to be a bit of a 'word snob' due to the fact that she continuously uses vocabulary words that are just completely unnecessary and will require the average reader to have a dictionary on hand. I gave this to my younger cousin to read and she gave up on it- she was too frustrated with the stuffy vocabulary and was upset the book moved so slow ! Consider reading 'Flowertown' by Jessica Marie St.James ! Now THAT'S an amazing read !

Shadowkiller Wendy Corsi Staub Books Reviews

I read all three books with this story line and the author kept me on the edge of my seat till the end.
If you love good mystery stories this book is for you. I know it was fiction but it still kept me reading and buying
her next book. Enjoy
Interesting thriller. I did not read the other part of the trilogy and found this to be a little confusing at times but it might have been too predictable if I had read the others first. Shrug
This is a little bit troubling for me personally, but it was a great experience with this genre of reading. I enjoyed the book, but for me personally I don't think it's for me. If you're into the genre, then you will find that the action is taken to a great read. I wouldn't buy it again.
I liked the story line. I also liked the way she connected the two woman at the end. I didn't like the quick stop and go's. You'd just get into one character or situation and then out of the blue it suddenly switches to something or some one else. This is my first time reading her book. I will try another.
I love Wendy Corsi Staub's books (I have almost all of her books) but I have been having a hard time getting into this one, the first book in this series was OK, but this one kind of drags on to me. I wish she would continue the Lily Dale series.
I was totally surprised about Cassie. I am not all the way thru the book (because of it being summer). I can't wait to see what happens to Allison, Mack and the family and how it works out.
This is the first time that I had read the writing of Wendy Corst Staub. I was very impressed with her writing. The story line was great and not too wordy like some authors works tend to be.( I hate reading books that you have page after page dealing with how things looks, color of everything, going into great descriptived details that adds nothing to the story) I woudl recommend this book to anyone.
